I did download the driver separately from Elgato to try and force the drivers, but this too failed miserably.

I have also tried Windows Update, but this failed to find any drivers as well. I checked Devices in Windows and it shows up as Elgato HD60 but is displayed under Other Devices. This was not good since the drivers are automatically installed with the software. I checked Device Manager and sure enough, under Other Devices was the HD60 with an error saying No Compatible Drivers Found. Opened the Elgato software and was immediately told No Devices Connected. A few seconds later it said it was installed. Windows popped up and said it's "Installing Device HD60" so it knew what it was. I installed the latest Game Capture HD off the Elgato site (3.) and hooked the HD60 to a front USB 3.0 port. but I cannot due to the aforementioned error. I was really excited and looking forward to using this capture device to record at 1080p60. In October 2014 Elgato released a new version called HD 60. A review in iPhone Life gave it 4 out of 5 stars and noted that it could also be used to record iPad games with the right setup.
